The Postpartum Prep Visit
My newest offering is the Postpartum Prep Visit—a dedicated 1–2 hour session designed to support your transition into early parenthood with clarity and confidence.
Before your baby arrives, we’ll take time to gently explore your hopes, needs, and vision for postpartum. Together, we’ll map out your support system, discuss feeding preferences, newborn care plans, rest and recovery strategies, and any questions you’re holding.
Whether in-person or virtual, this visit is your space to prepare emotionally and practically, so you feel grounded and resourced in the days and weeks following birth. It’s also a time for us to connect, build trust, and begin shaping a care plan that truly reflects your values, rhythms, and goals. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
This journey starts with care—and grows with connection.

What is the Postpartum Prep Visit & Who Needs It?
Ideal for anyone wanting to feel more informed and confident before baby arrives, second time parents, folks who do not need or cannot budget a postpartum doula, or folks with larger family support networks in these postpartum months, my postpartum prep visit, offering, which is included in my postpartum package, is perfect for folks who just need help planning for their postpartum period.
The Postpartum Prep Visit is a focused 1–2 hour session—offered in person or virtually—designed to help expecting parents prepare emotionally and practically for the early weeks after birth. During this visit, we’ll explore your hopes and concerns for postpartum, discuss your support network, feeding goals, newborn care preferences, and recovery plans.
By creating a thoughtful postpartum plan together, you’ll enter this new chapter feeling grounded, supported, and ready to navigate the challenges and joys of early parenthood with greater ease.
What is included in the Postpartum Prep Visit?
We’ll explore your emotions around the postpartum period, addressing any fears, worries, or uncertainties. Together, we’ll build a foundation of confidence through open conversation and practical guidance tailored to your needs.
Partners are included in this process. We’ll talk about how they can offer support, care for themselves, and stay emotionally connected. Everyone’s well-being matters, not just the birthing person’s.
Understand the different physical and emotional recovery paths for vaginal and cesarean births. We’ll review healing timelines, supportive tools, and how to prepare your home and routine accordingly.
Learn the difference between baby blues and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. We’ll discuss symptoms, when to reach out for help, and how to build a responsive, supportive care plan.
We’ll talk through how to communicate boundaries with friends and family, set expectations for visitors, and ensure your postpartum space prioritizes your healing, rest, and emotional safety.
You’ll receive a personalized list of recovery items—from padsicles and belly binders to sitz baths and nursing pillows—so your space is well-stocked and your body is well-supported.
We’ll walk through feeding plans, diapering, bathing, safe sleep, babywearing, and soothing techniques so you feel prepared, informed, and grounded in your approach to newborn care.
We’ll review meal prep ideas, nourishing recipes, and how to create a food support system, whether through cooking ahead, requesting help, or using postpartum meal prep services.
You’ll receive a comprehensive postpartum planning checklist covering recovery, newborn care, emotional wellness, and household prep—designed to help you feel steady, clear, and resourced as you approach this life shift.

I offer Reiki support as a gentle, restorative option during the postpartum period for one-hour sessions. Sessions are quiet, intentional, and supportive of your body’s natural healing process. Reiki can be especially helpful for soothing anxiety, regulating sleep, and releasing tension.
