Ready to Learn About Birth?

Welcome to Group Childbirth Education with Mariposa Doula Care—a warm, inclusive space to prepare for birth with confidence. These small-group sessions offer evidence-based guidance on labor stages, comfort techniques, partner roles, medical interventions, and postpartum recovery.

Rooted in cultural humility and affirming support, each class is designed to help you feel informed, grounded, and connected to your body, your choices, and your community. Whether you’re planning a hospital, birth center, or home birth, you’ll leave with tools to advocate for yourself and navigate birth with greater ease.

Classes also offer opportunities to build community, ask questions in a safe space, and explore what empowered birth means to you. Each session is engaging, interactive, and centered on your unique goals and values.

This journey starts with care—and grows with connection.

Why Should I Take a Childbirth Education Course?

A childbirth education course prepares you for one of life’s biggest transitions by helping you understand the stages of labor, your options, and how to advocate for your needs.

It reduces fear, builds confidence, and equips you—and your partner—with tools for comfort, communication, and decision-making.

Beyond the basics, it fosters emotional readiness, encourages informed choices, and helps create a more empowered, supported birth experience—whether you're planning for a hospital, birth center, or home birth.

What is Covered in Our Childbirth Education Sessions?

Learn the physical and emotional signs of each stage of labor, from early labor to birth. Understanding the process helps you feel more prepared and able to respond with confidence and calm.

Explore movement, breathwork, touch, and positioning for pain relief. You and your partner will practice hands-on tools to ease intensity and support your body through each phase of labor and birth.

Partners will learn how to be active, grounded support people. We’ll cover emotional support, communication skills, and ways to advocate within the birth space with clarity and compassion.

Gain knowledge of common medical interventions, including induction, epidural, and cesarean birth. You’ll learn how to navigate choices using a practical decision-making framework rooted in your values and preferences.

We discuss what to expect after birth—physically, emotionally, and practically. Topics include newborn feeding, rest, recovery, and how to create a postpartum plan that centers your healing and support.

We’ll help you clarify your birth preferences and begin thinking about your birth plan. Learn how to communicate with your care team and adapt while staying rooted in your values and goals.

Whether you're working with a midwife, OB, or planning a hospital, birth center, or home birth, this session is designed to help you feel informed and grounded. You’ll leave with a clear, flexible birth plan and a deeper sense of readiness—regardless of whether you have a doula present during your labor.

Reiki

I offer Reiki support as a gentle, restorative option during the postpartum period for one-hour sessions. Reiki is a form of energy work that promotes balance, calm, and emotional grounding—ideal for moments of overwhelm, physical recovery, or when you simply need space to reconnect with yourself. Sessions are quiet, intentional, and supportive of your body’s natural healing process. Reiki can be especially helpful for soothing anxiety, regulating sleep, and releasing tension. I offer in-home or distant sessions, and each includes time for reflection and integration. Whether you’re navigating early postpartum, processing your birth experience, or seeking a deeper sense of peace, Reiki offers a nurturing space to feel held and re-centered. This care is open to all birthing and postpartum individuals.

Investment: $70 per Session
